Bandillo 21

Hindi pa sumisilip

ni madama ang liwanag at init ng bukang-liwayway

ay kasama mo ang mga pamalakaya

na naglakbay; pumalaot kayo sa gitna ng mabangis,

madilim at ‘di payapang karagatan

ng karalitaan; maingat mong inihanda

ang nilulumot na lambat kasama ang gasera

na siyang inyong tanglaw

sa kagilagilalas na pakikipagsapalaran

sa ilalim ng mga bituin,

ng buwan ng bulong ng hangin,

ng mga nakakatakot na pangitain,

ng pakikipag duwelo

sa mga nagsisisayaw na

anino ng mga mangangaso ng tao

sa ilalim ng hubad na kalawakan;

habang ang iyong puso’y

puno parin ng pangarap

na balang araw babalikan mo

ang lupang iyong pinanggalingan

at hahalik ang labi

ng iyong bangka

sa dalampasigan ni Laya

kasama ang minahal mong

pamalakaya.
