Believing that community pantries are red-tagged because some have given political meaning to them is only blaming the victim. It says outright, “They deserve to be red-tagged for not submitting to the status quo.” This fascist thinking is harmful to the people.

What happened last January 6 at the U.S. Capitol was a violent takeover of Congress by a fascist mob, not a “protest by Trump supporters.” And, although five people died and there were more than 50 arrests, it’s obvious to the wide public that these overwhelmingly white lawbreakers were handled much differently than they would have been had they been Black or other people of color.
It demonizes legal activists as plain criminals who are armed and dangerous and not fighting for a legitimate cause and issues of public interest through non-armed means and fora.
A good government listens to the people, both friends and foes. Listening to friends and foes can provide us with a balanced picture and informed decision on any issue. Hence, the President should listen to them and incorporate these criticisms to his plans.
Opposition and resistance have overwhelmed the Philippine political landscape amidst the Covid19 pandemic, when the ‘anti-terror bill’ became a law. Now, the broad people’s resistance has become a test if the regime can continue to intimidate the people with the law and the virus.

Are Filipinos merely uneducated on institutional racism or are we, as a people historically inclined to serve White men, inherently racist?
