Bloodbath looms in 2028 between the Marcoses, Dutertes

“If Marcos Jr. continues to turn a blind eye to the need for accountability, he risks emboldening the Dutertes further. This could very well be the signal they are waiting for to consolidate power and politically eliminate the Marcoses come 2028. That would not just be a political contest—it could turn into a bloodbath.”

Bong Go’s ‘epal’ politics

The most “epal” politician this side of the planet is none other than Sen. Bong Go and he basks on being No. 1 in the senatorial race on account of his “Malasakit Centers,” which is another bureaucratic layer in the already heavily-bureaucratized Duterte-Marcos Jr. administrations.

Money politics ruins country

Philippine politics is money politics. It is the politics of the principalia that worked hand-in-glove with the Spanish colonial rulers and whose members became landlords commanding the loyalty of the serfs (even as Spain abolished slavery) that comprised their private army.

NEDA’s unfulfilled prophecy

Chief economic planner Arsenio Balisacan apparently has the same genes as his predecessors, one of whom triumphantly declared that the Philippines was on the “precipice” of becoming middle-income country even as it was grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic and successive disasters. The good bureaucrat forgot that a “precipice” is hardly an inch out of cliff.

Sara’s zero performance

To be honest, Sara never accomplished anything significant since June 30, 2022, aside from flying to Germany to watch a Taylor Swift concert while Metro Manila was being flooded and hundreds of thousands were being evacuated.

Barmy Marcos Jr.-Duterte show

Their keyboard warriors engaged in mutually-destructive disinformation campaigns (many of them from the Duterte camp also moonlighting to be China’s fifth column in the Philippines) and their footmen in the broadsheets and the tabloids promoting the candidacies of such clowns as Bong Go and Bato de la Rosa.

Sara can’t pass off as a comedienne

Popular, wealthy and entitled, they are also allergic to the truth to be unveiled at trial. Tiquia should start training Sara for her momentous career move. Doing stand-up comedy is an honorable profession for those who are not cranky.
