Mural symbolizes unities of int’l mining conference

Local progressive art group Sining Bugkos opens the solidarity cultural activity of the ongoing International People’s Conference on Mining with an on-the-spot mural painting that symbolizes the unities achieved so far by the delegates.

The conference aims to unite groups and individuals to a common course of action to arrest mining plunder across the globe. It runs until tomorrow, August 1.

Attended by more than 140 delegates from 28 countries the conference aims to create a global campaign mechanism as well as engage the United Nations to address issues surrounding extractive industries.
