People’s Hearing indicts US-Aquino regime

With Congressional investigations under wraps before widespread demands for truth and accountability on the Mamasapano tragedy, mass organizations held their own “people’s hearing” holding the US-Aquino regime accountable for the crime. Reporting from their fact-finding mission are Resentatives Luz Ilagan and Carlos Zarate, joined by U.P. Prof. Roland Simbulan and Rep. Fernando Hicap. The public hearing was held at Plaza Miranda, Manila on February 20, 2015 as a lead-in for mass mobilizations slated for February 25, anniversary of the EDSA people power revolt and a full month after Mamasapano. Among the people’s organizations are affiliates of the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN) and the Philippines Chapter of the International League of People’s Struggle (ILPS-Phils).
