Media Release

Contrary to their claims of A1 intelligence information, the Armed Forces of the Philippines actually have no evidence on the 43 health workers, not before and not even after their illegal raid and arrests.

According to Health Alliance for Democracy, the statements made by the military officers as well as the military spokespersons are unraveling their web of lies.

Children call for release of kin, freedom for the 43

Last March 6, 2010, Egoy and Vince, son of Dr. Merry Mia and grandson of Dr. Alex Montes respectively, asked the military to release them from illegal detention. They were joined by relatives of the Morong 43 and the Salinlahi Alliance for Children's Concerns. Chldren joined in chanting "Free the 43 Health Workers!"

Morong 43 detainee Valentino Paulino's mother, Adoracion, denied that her son is a New People's Army member. She said that her son was tortured, which led to his confession as a member of the rebel group.
