Striking error on national canvass: number of registered voters higher than population

Information technology experts discovered a striking error at the National Canvass Report: the total number of registered voters printed was 153,902,003, 60 million more than the country's population of 92 million.

The huge descrepancy from COMELEC's data of 50,723,733 registered voters was reported by members of Vote Report Philippines (votereportph) an independent poll watchgroup during their monitoring of results printed by the official servers used to canvass votes for partylist and senators.

Military and armed Police were spotted inside canvassing area in Tayabas municipal hall. Meanwhile, foreign delegates visit the Pagbilao municipal canvassing area where canvassing of votes are already finished. Difficulties encountered in polls in Abra

MALIBCONG, ABRA In a precinct in Abra, foreign observers report that voting takes about approximately 8 minutes for each individual. This causes long queues in the area. Compounding to this are the problems related to the official list of voters in the precinct. Difficulties encountered include names being misspelled. or ultimately being not included in the list. Cavite mayoralty candidate expressed concern about expected problems in tomorrow's poll

TANZA, CAVITE-Cavite mayoralty candidate Raymundo del Rosario expressed concern about the expected problems in tomorrow’s elections amidst reports of malfunctioning PCOS machines in election precints. Del Rosario particularly cited the danger of candidates not accepting defeat as they invoke the lack of credibility of the automated election. In a more positive note, he expressed confidence that the military and the police will be fair in giving protection and assistance to all candidates.
