Pass the Hat Around for Ariel Saturay
Pass the hat, please.
Dear Family and Friends,
As some of you may now know, last November 16, 2009, Ariel Saturay, a documentary filmmaker, suffered a massive stroke while conducting a video training. Ariel is a volunteer of Kodao, an award-winning multimedia production outfit. He is now out of intensive care but the right half of his body has been affected by the stroke.
For a long time now, Ariel has been active in making video documentaries about urgent social issues in the Philippines. Some of his involvements have been awarded and cited by private and government institutions. These include "Sa Liyab ng Sanlibong Sulo" (by AsiaVisions_; "Alingawngaw ng Punglo" (by Southern Tagalog Exposure or STEx); and "Sa Hamon ng Panahon" (by Kodao).
I am "passing the hat around" to collect donations to help cover Ariel's hospital and rehabilitation expenses. Ariel still has to undergo medical treatment and rigorous rehabilitation to recover.
Any amount is welcome. If you can drop by to visit him at our family home at 83 Road 1 Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City, that will definitely boost his spirit! Join our efforts to get Ariel back on the road to recovery! Please send this email to your friends who may know Ariel.
Our most heartful thanks,
Jun Saturay
(Ariel Saturay is Kodao Productions' present Director for Video)
